Privacy Statement
Last updated: August 2026
This statement covers everyone who uses NeonShift. It explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. NeonShift is a general-audience site and isn’t intended for children under 13; we don’t knowingly collect information from them.
What we collect
- Account info — email address, hashed password, chosen nickname, and (optional) phone number, provided at signup.
- Gameplay data — scores, achievements, per-game stats (deaths, level completions, etc.), saved progress, and favorites.
- Analytics events — game starts, quits (including which level you quit at), ad watches, and generic session heartbeats. Guests have anonymized events (no user id attached).
- Contact messages — anything you submit through the Contact form.
- Technical logs — IP address and request metadata, at Cloudflare’s edge, for anti-abuse and rate-limiting purposes.
What we don’t do
- We don’t sell your data.
- We don’t share it with third-party advertisers.
- We don’t use it for cross-site tracking.
Where it lives
Everything is stored in a Supabase Postgres database with Row-Level Security enabled — meaning your rows can only be read by your logged-in session (and by us, the site operator, when running admin queries). Static game files are served from Cloudflare Pages.
Your rights
You can delete your account at any time by contacting us via the contact form. Deleting removes your row from auth.users, which cascades to every other table containing your data. Nothing survives except non-personal aggregate stats (e.g. total ad watches).
Cookies
We use a session cookie for auth (Supabase). Guest players get a browser cookie tracking their hourly play count (no personal info). That’s it — no third-party trackers.
